Former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp has told The Telegraph that he thinks Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish should look to learn from Tottenham starlet Dele Alli.
Alli,19, has taken the Premier League by storm this season, scoring seven goals and adding five assists in his debut campaign in the top flight.
The Tottenham star has been spearheading his side's push for the Premier League title, whilst he's also made an impact on the international stage, scoring a long-range screamer for England against France back in November.
Alli's rise to stardom has prompted many questions from other clubs about blooding young players, and Aston Villa tried that last season with Jack Grealish.
The 20-year-old playmaker has come up through the ranks at Villa Park, and played a huge part in the club's escape to Premier League survival at the end of last term.
However, Grealish has been involved in off-field issues, with The Independent reporting earlier this season that Grealish had been dropped from the Villa squad for his behaviour.
Clearly very talented but still learning his craft, Grealish has now been given some advice by former West Ham, Portsmouth and Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.
Redknapp told The Telegraph that he thinks Grealish should be looking to learn from Tottenham star Alli, who does his talking on the pitch, and doesn't get involved in any off-field matters.
"The kid at Aston Villa who’s a talent, Jack Grealish, needs to look at Alli," said Redknapp. "He’s doing it week in, week out and you don’t hear anything bad about him. He’s gets on with his football. Grealish is a great talent, but he looks like unless he sorts himself out he’s going to waste that great talent, which would be a shame. Make the headlines for your football, not off the pitch," he added.
Grealish has the potential to be just as good as Alli, but without the right application, his talent could be a waste, just as Redknapp believes - and it's down to Villa boss Remi Garde to put him in a position to succeed.
Who will have the better career - Alli or Grealish?
