Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that he wants to score 35 goals this season.
Griffiths scored his 30th goal of the campaign during the 2-0 win against Ross County on Saturday afternoon.
The Scotland international striker found the target in first-half injury time to put the Bhoys in the lead. Dedryck Boyata headed home a Stuart Armstrong cross in the 57th minute to wrap up the three points for the Glasgow giants.
Griffiths has revealed that he has now set himself a target of 35 goals this season.
LG: "I’m changing my targets now. First it was 30 now it’s 35."— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) February 13, 2016
Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 58 points from 25 matches, three points clear of second-placed Aberdeen.
Griffiths, though, does not seem to be too concerned with the challenge posed by Aberdeen in their quest to win the Scottish Premiership title this season.
LG asked about @AberdeenFC challenge: "We concentrate on what we do. Aberdeen go about their own business."— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) February 13, 2016
Celtic will return to action next weekend when they take on Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.
