Emile Heskey still scoring in 2016...amazing.
There are a few footballers who may not have exactly had the greatest technique or been able to score goals regularly, but they've still become cult heroes.
From the likes of Shola Ameobi to Jason Lee, we really can't get enough of cult hero players. However, when it comes to cult players, there is one man who might just be at the top of the list thanks to a few nasty jokes over the years...Emile Heskey.
Yep, the former Liverpool and England striker has gained himself a pretty massive following thanks to actually having a bit of a nightmare for most of his career.
And since he returned to England after a spell in Australia, Heskey has had a pretty decent time with Bolton Wanderers, despite only scoring twice in 33 appearances.
But big Emile made it three goals in the Championship after netting during Bolton's game with Brighton and Hove Albion.
As you can imagine, Twitter went absolutely insane after his goal:
Good lord. It's 2016 and Emile Heskey is still scoring goals. Well, perhaps "still" is pushing it a bit.— James Kirk (@1fckirk) February 13, 2016
