Bryan Oviedo has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight after signing a new contract with Everton.
The 25-year-old, who can play as a left-back or as a left-sided midfielder, has put pen to paper on a new three-and-a-half-year deal.
This means that Oviedo will remain at Everton until June 2019, and he is delighted to have committed his long-term future to the Toffees.
Oviedo, who suffered a broken leg two years ago, has featured in seven Premier League games so far this season.
The Costa Rica international has created six chances, has a pass accuracy of 81%, and has won two dribbles and 17 tackles.
Everton are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 35 points from 25 matches.
The Merseyside outfit are 12 points behind Manchester City, who are currently fourth and occupy the final Champions League spot.
