Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to sign three Real Madrid stars if appointed as Manchester United boss.

Jose Mourinho is already plotting his transfer targets if in case he lands the Manchester United job in the summer.

Spanish newspaper Sport claims to have already identified his top three acquisitions - both belonging to his former club Real Madrid.

It is claimed Mourinho has his eyes set on ex-Tottenham duo Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, along with centre-back Raphael Varane.

Doing a deal for all three would cost an eye watering amount of money, and convincing Real Madrid to let one go let alone three will be a tough task.

United did manage to prise Angel di Maria away from the Bernabeu 18 months ago, but relations have soured since the failed transfer of David de Gea in the opposite direction.

The paper claim Bale is the biggest priority of the trio, while claiming Mourinho has already reached out to Modric and Varane to establish their interest in joining him at Old Trafford. The report adds he has an agreement in principle to replace Louis van Gaal at the end of the seaosn.
