Dimitri Payet has signed an improved contract with West Ham.
West Ham United fans have reacted with delight after the club announced Dimitri Payet has signed a new contract extension.
Payet joined the club in the summer from Marseille, but his performances have been so impressive that the club have seen fit to reward him with an extended deal which it is hoped will keep him at the club until 2021.
The winger has been West Ham's star player since arriving in the summer, with the team a lot less effective during the period in which he was injured late last year.
The Frenchman will be a key part of Slaven Bilic's side when they move to the Olympic Stadium next season, and his new deal rules out claims of a summer transfer to Manchester City, reported by The Sun earlier this week.
The Hammers are sixth in the Premier League, and nipping the speculation over Payet in the bud only serves to continue their positive campaign, keeping the feeling around the club upbeat.
With young winger Martin Samuelsen impressing on loan for Peterborough in the FA Cup this week, and Michail Antonio making a strong impression, the Hammers look destined to have an exciting attack for years to come, and locking down Payet is the most important part.
Here is a look at how supporters have reacted to the deal...
