West Bromwich Albion supporters react on Twitter to Cristian Gamboa's performance against Peterborough United

West Brom - The Hawthorns

West Bromwich Albion required penalties to beat Peterborough United in the FA Cup last night.

West Bromwich Albion supporters have praised the performance that Christian Gamboa put in for them against Peterborough United last night.

The Baggies were short of their best at the ABAX Stadium, as they required penalties to knock the League One side out of the FA Cup.

Many of Tony Pulis’ side’s players failed to show their top form, but Gamboa’s tireless energy did catch the eye.

The Costa Rica international had played just two times for West Brom this season, prior to last night’s contest, but he did not look short of match sharpness.

The 26-year-old performance was arguably better than all of his West Brom teammates’ showings, and he will have given Pulis a selection dilemma for the weeks ahead.

West Brom fans certainly want to see him involved more regularly - and they moved to praise the rapid full-back on social media site Twitter after last night’s match. Here is the best reaction.

West Brom will now take on Reading in the fifth round of the FA Cup at the Madejski Stadium in two weekends' time.
