Slaven Bilic unconcerned by West Ham United's fitness levels after Liverpool match

West Ham United had to play extra-time against Liverpool in the FA Cup on Tuesday.

Slaven Bilic has told West Ham United’s official site that his side have recovered well from their FA Cup exertions against Liverpool on Tuesday night.

West Ham were taken to extra-time by Liverpool in midweek, and they have had minimal time to recover from that display - with Norwich City next up on their fixture list on Saturday.

However, Bilic insists that his Hammers squad are raring to go, even though they are suffering with a number of injuries.

"Well, we have a few knocks and injuries but overall it’s a good feeling. Even those guys with a knock, they feel good," Bilic said.

"When you win you don’t feel the fatigue as much. 120 minutes is of course a lot to play, but we are all looking forward to the Norwich game on Saturday.”

The likes of Winston Reid, James Tomkins, Cheikhou Kouyate, Joey O’Brien and Diafra Sakho are all set to miss the Norwich match with injury, while Manuel Lanzini and Alex Song are both doubts.

It makes West Ham’s task of winning trickier, but they do have momentum on their side after the victory over Liverpool.

The Hammers lost their last Premier League match to Southampton, meaning that there is pressure on them to bounce back at Carrow Road.

Norwich, meanwhile, will be desperate to pick up the three points as they have recently fallen into the drop zone, following a run of five league defeats in a row.
