Leeds United midfielder Casper Sloth has not played for the club since February 2015.
According to a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Massimo Cellino is a big fan of Leeds United midfielder Casper Sloth.
The Dane has not played for Leeds since February 2015, and has been overlooked by Leeds’ last three managers, but Cellino apparently believes he is a quality player.
Neil Redfearn, Uwe Rosler and Steve Evans have all decided against utilising Sloth, despite his impressive form at under-21 level, and he has barely featured.
There were suggestions that Sloth was set to leave in January, but Cellino is refusing to let him go on a free (Yorkshire Evening Post).
Leeds reportedly want to recoup some of the £600,000 fee they paid to sign Sloth from Aarhus in 2014.
It leaves the 23-year-old in limbo, with his situation at Elland Road far from ideal for player or club.
Sloth has made just 13 Championship appearances during his stay with the Yorkshire side so far, and he seems unlikely to increase that total before the end of the campaign.
