The Villans have been much improved defensively in recent weeks.
Recent weeks have seen them improve in that regard though, with clean sheets against Norwich City, Crystal Palace and West Brom as well as holding highflying Leicester City to a 1-1 draw.
And Garde has praised his side for that improvement, saying if they can maintain that then they will hopefully see the fruits of their work at the end of the season.
"Norwich City didn't have too many clear opportunities but they put us under pressure. However, we defended very well,” he told avfc.co.uk.
"We showed massive solidarity at the back - and across the whole team. There was the four at the back but the midfield also worked very hard - everyone involved, in fact.”
“We are showing the right attitude. If we're still keeping this behavior, hopefully everyone will see the fruits at the end of the season.”
Garde will now be hoping his side can maintain that defensive solidity as they look to mount an unlikely escape from relegation.
They are currently rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table and eight points from safety with 13 games of the season remaining.
With goals having been hard to come by though, a new defensive solidity will be crucial, giving them the best chance possible of picking up the points they need to avoid the drop.
