The Leeds number two was keeping tight-lipped on loan dealings.
Leeds United take on Middlesbrough this weekend and the press conference at the Thorp Arch training facility today was taken by the club's assistant Paul Raynor.
Leeds fans are fairly disappointed with going-ons at the club currently. Owner Massimo Cellino remains disliked, the departure of Sam Byram still irks and the club's fruitless end to the transfer window left some doubting Leeds' ambition.
One shining light was the emergency loan window, which recently opened. Many have been expecting to see Leeds sign players immediately on loan as soon as the opportunity arose.
However, despite links, nothing has yet come off.
As far as Raynor is confirmed, that remains the case. He told the press today, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post:
"We are linked with everyone so from now on we are going to keep quiet about it.
"That's one for Steve. We'll keep quiet. We'll announce it when something is done."
Leeds fans are still hopeful of some more arrivals before the loan window shuts - perhaos Leeds are biding their time to get coverage until the end of the season.
But with the current difficulties at the club it would be a real boost to morale if Leeds could make at least one eye-catching loan signing in the coming weeks.
However, currently it seems nothing is close to completion.
