Harry Redknapp is quoted by the Daily Star as saying that he thinks Dele Alli is a 'fantastic player' - and believes Spurs should be looking to sacrifice the Europa League in order to win the Premier League title.
It's been an incredible season for Spurs, who currently sit in second place in the Premier League table, just five points adrift of league leaders Leicester City.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has earned plenty of praise for his work at White Hart Lane, as he has not only helped develop a host of young players such as Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane, but he has also turned the team around defensively.
Last season, Tottenham had one of the worst defences in the Premier League, leaking 53 goals - the most of the top 13 clubs - but this term, they have the best record in the league, summing up Pochettino's incredible work.
Many players have been superb this season, with the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Mousa Dembele Dier and Kane all enjoying great seasons, but the headline-maker has been Dele Alli.
The teenage midfielder has been sensational in his debut Premier League season since signing from MK Dons, notching seven goals and five assists - and former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has had his say on the wonderkid.
As quoted by the Daily Star, Redknapp has said that Alli is a 'fantastic player', and claims he is an amazing talent whilst also having an edge to his game.
"What a fantastic player," said Redknapp. "It looks like he plays with no respect for the opposition, almost. He doesn't care who he has it off with. He has got a streak in him. As well as being a fantastic player he doesn't mind a bit of aggro does he? He's only a kid, only 19, and I think he is an amazing talent."
Tottenham will be looking to continue their pursuit of the Premier League title when they take on Manchester City this weekend, but things are about to get tougher again, with the Europa League returning this month.
Spurs face a trip to Italy a week today in order to face Fiorentina, and Redknapp believes that Spurs should sacrifice the Europa League in order to try and win the Premier League title.
"They have got a great chance of winning the Premier League this year. I'd put my eggs in that basket. They would have a chance of winning the Europa League, but they might never get a better chance of winning the Premier League," he added.
