Graeme Souness explains the one condition that could see Tottenham beat City

The pundit has been previewing Tottenham's clash with Manchester City.

Graeme Souness believes Tottenham Hotspur can beat Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium if Manuel Pellegrini's men are in the same mood as they were against Leicester City last Saturday afternoon, according to Sky Sports.

Indeed, City were thrashed 3-1 by Leicester at home and host Tottenham on Sunday.

And the pundit believes the north London side, who are playing with 'real freedom,' can win at the Etihad if Manchester City's starting XI isn't determined enough.

Souness told Sky: "Looking to this weekend, if City are in the same mood that saw them lose to Leicester, then Spurs can win at the Etihad too.

"They are playing with real freedom and without expectation, just like Leicester, but I have to say I'm expecting Leicester to have a hiccup at some point."

They weren't against Leicester but, at home, Manchester City are usually a force to contend with. Based on their home form, City are top of the Premier League, with Tottenham in second.

It's away where City struggle. Tottenham, however, would still be third based on their form on the road.

So, as Souness says, a Manchester City side that don't bother - and one that looks worryingly short of motivation considering they are in a title hunt - is one Spurs can definitely punish.
