Former Sunderland and Middlesbrough star Julio Arca is ditching his football boots in favour of boxing gloves for a charity event later this year.
Arca, retired after his 'Boro contract ran out in 2013, and has been playing non-league football in the North East since.
Now he has his sights set on making an impact in the ring, telling his Twitter followers he has a fight booked.

Arca went onto explain the fight is to raise money for those battling against cancer, and urged his followers to book tickets.

Arca is 35, and made more than 300 combined appearances in England for Sunderland and Middlesbrough.
He was the captain of Argentina's under-20 World Cup winning squad in 2001, but never went onto win a full international cap.
