Yann M'Vila is currently only on loan at Sunderland from Rubin Kazan.
Yann M’Vila has confirmed in the Sunderland Echo that he wants to stay with Sunderland beyond the end of the season.
M’Vila is currently on loan with the Black Cats from Rubin Kazan until the end of the current campaign, but he is hoping to extend his stay.
The 25-year-old says that he is enjoying his time at the Stadium of Light, and he would be willing to make his switch a permanent one, should the opportunity arise.
“I want to stay here and play in the Premier League with Sunderland," he said.
“Hopefully we will stay up and they will make me an offer, and then we can get around the table and talk and hopefully we can continue the adventure."
According to the Sunderland Echo, Sunderland do have an option to make M’Vila’s transfer a permanent one.
The deal may depend on the Black Cats’ retaining their Premier League status, however, as funding the French international’s wages without top-flight football would be a huge challenge.
Sunderland are likely to be keen on extended M’Vila’s deal, as he has played a key role for them so far.
The powerful midfielder has made 27 appearances and scored once for the Black Cats to date.
