Tomas Rosicky on his favourite thing about Arsenal teammate Mesut Ozil

The German star has been highly impressive for Arsenal this season.

The fact that Mesut Ozil doesn’t force the ball is what Tomas Rosicky likes about him the most, he has told the club’s official website.

The German midfielder has been the star of the show at the Emirates this season, putting in a number of impressive displays.

That form has seen him dominate the Premier League assist charts with 16 to his name, while he also set a Premier League record when he claimed seven consecutive assists earlier in the season.

And Rosicky says his favourite thing about his teammate is the fact he does not try to force the final pass.

“Mesut was always a special talent and you could see that when he arrived here,” he told Arsenal Player.

"The best thing that I like about Mesut is that he’s not forcing the final passes. We all know he has a great final ball but you can see that he only plays it when the game gives him that opportunity.”

"If it’s not there then he’s not forcing it and he’s combining with other team-mates instead. That’s the thing I like most about him.”

The Gunners will now be hoping Ozil can have a final say in the remaining 13 games of the Premier League, with the title very much within their reach.

This weekend would be the perfect opportunity, with leaders Leicester City heading to the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

Beating the Foxes, who became favourites with a stunning 3-1 victory over Manchester City last weekend, would be a real statement that the Gunners haven’t fallen away as many suspect they have.
