According to the print edition of Italian newspaper Tuttosport, as reported by The Mirror, Inter Milan could target Everton boss Roberto Martinez.
Inter haven't quite lived up to expectations this season, and sit in fourth place in the Serie A table, 11 points off league leaders Napoli.
Their lack of a real title challenge has piled the pressure on manager Roberto Mancini, and many expect him to leave the San Siro at the end of the season, which would bring his second reign as Inter boss to an end.
It's suggested that Inter want Atletico Madrid's Diego Simeone, Ajax's Frank de Boer, Sampdoria's Vincenzo Montella, Sassuolo's Eusebio Di Francesco or even Everton's Roberto Martinez.
Martinez has come in for stern criticism this season given that Everton are underachieving this season, given that he has the likes of John Stones, Ross Barkley, Gerard Deulofeu and Romelu Lukaku at his disposal, yet Everton sit 12 points off the top four
Some Toffees fans even think the Spaniard should be replaced come the end of the season, with patience wearing thin after some some disappointing results this term.
Those supporters may be somewhat surprised to see Martinez targeted for a major role elsewhere, but the 42-year-old does still have a strong reputation, and given his relative youth as a manager, Inter may see him as somebody who can manage the club for years to come.
Would you be sad to see Martinez leave Everton for Inter?
