Aly Cissokho has told Aston Villa’s official site that Jores Okore must be a nightmare for opposition players to come up against.
Okore has endured an injury disrupted campaign, but has come back into Villa’s team more recently.
The Danish international has looked imperious at the back, and his string of excellent performances have earned credit from Cissokho.
"Jores is a lovely man off the field, one of football's nice guys,” Cissokho said.
"But on the field, he must be a nightmare to play against. He is so competitive, wants to win every ball, every tackle, every challenge.
"He's been in real top form over the past few weeks and he's deserved the praise he's been getting.
"His quality is there for everyone to see. He's good on the ball, a good reader of the game and he's quick across the field.”
Cissokho is one of Villa’s players who have benefited the most from Remi Garde’s appointment.
The full-back appeared to be heading out of the Midlands club, having been sent out on loan to Porto, but Garde has given him a chance to re-establish his place in their starting line-up.
Cissokho has now played in Villa’s last seven matches, and he has helped the Claret and Blues improve.
Although Garde’s side are still eight points adrift of safety, they have only lost two of their last eight matches in all competitions, in what has been their most productive spell of the season to date.
