Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Josh Onomah's under-21 performance

Joshua Onomah featured for Tottenham's under-21 side against Southampton.

Tottenham Hotspur's under-21 side earned a 1-1 draw away to their Southampton counterparts yesterday evening.

Spurs scored through senior midfielder Nabil Bentaleb, playing with the youngsters in order to get valuable game time.

One player who stood out, and played a part in Bentaleb's goal, was midfielder Joshua Onomah, who signed a new contract at the club last week.

The 18-year-old displayed his quick feet and willingness to run at the defence, also attempting to score himself.

Onomah has featured for the first team this season and more chances are likely to come his way between now and the end of the season.

SkySports reported Onomah had been one of the most impressive players in first team training lately, and his potential accelerated the departure of Andros Townsend.

Onomah was substituted after 84 minutes after picking up a slight knock, taken off as a precaution.

Here is a look at how fans reacted to his promising display...
