Sky Sports suggest Chinese club are preparing £38 million bid for West Ham star Dimitri Payet

The Frenchman has tweeted his devotion to West Ham today.

Whilst the English transfer window may be shut the big spending clubs in China do not know when to stop splashing the cash.

The likes of Jackson Martinez, Alex Teixeira and Ramires have all headed to the Far East and now West Ham are going to be fending off an offer for their star player.

On a morning where reports have circulated over a new deal for French midfielder Dimitri Payet it is now being reported by Sky Sports that a Chinese club recently made an enquiry about the player.

The report states that an unnamed Chinese club is willing to pay £38 million for the player - who has been a revelation since his summer move from Marseille.

The player would also be offered a whopping £135,000-a-week after tax to go and play in the Chinese Super League.

Payet is however believed to be happy at the club and a move to China would be odd regarding the timing - with West Ham flying and off to the Olympic Stadium from next season.

The Chinese transfer window does not shut until February 26th - so West Ham fans will hope Payet is still around after that date.
