The Italian striker has plenty of suitors and is out of contract in the summer.
Mirco Antenucci's future at Leeds United looks to be in doubt. The Italian is out of contract at the end of the season and at the moment it seems the club is reluctant to hand him an extension to the deal.
In January he was linked with several clubs back home in Italy and now it is being reported that he will indeed be heading home - with his wife one of the main reasons behind his choice.
The Yorkshire Evening Post is reporting the news, citing Ternana News in Italy, that Antenucci's wife wants to head home to raise their two children.
His first child was born in Leeds in November 2014 and the couple are expecting another child this summer. The report claims that his wife would prefer the children grow up in Italy and that could be pressing Antenucci into an exit - regardless of what Leeds want to do with him.
"Regrets Antenucci? No regrets, if he came he would have to replace someone in the current squad.
"It will be for next year."
If he was to join up with Ascoli he would be joining a team who currently have former Leeds players Tommaso Bianchi, Dario Del Fabro and Zan Benedicic on their books.
