Crystal Palace reportedly want to sign Hull City’s Mohamed Diame.
The Eagles wanted to bring in the tough midfielder over the January window, to shore up the side after some recent struggles.
However, Hull refused to sanction Diame’s sale, with the Senegalese international a key part of Steve Bruce’s side.
He has made 23 appearances in the Championship this term, scoring four goals and registering four assists.
Diame is happy to stay with the Tigers this season, however, should Hull failure to win promotion at the end of this campaign, he will look for a move.
Should Hull fail to get into the top flight, the 28-year-old will look for a move, with Palace waiting for his signature.
In this situation, Hull will sanction Diame’s departure, but will look to recoup at least £3.5 million for him, which is what they paid West Ham for the transfer of his services back in September 2014.
