Manchester United duo and Newcastle midfielder send messages to Kurt Zouma on Twitter

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma suffered a serious knee injury on Sunday.

Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has taken to social networking site Twitter to show his support to Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.

Zouma suffered a serious knee injury on Sunday and will be out of action for six months.

The 21-year-old central defender picked up the problem during the Premier League game between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening.

Sissoko has wished his French compatriot a speedy recovery and has posted the following message on Twitter, which when translated from French reads: “Courage my friend, you will come back a lot stronger.”

United duo Ashley Young and Morgan Schneiderlin have also taken to Twitter to show their support to Zouma.

Zouma has been on the books of Chelsea since 2014 and has a contract until June 2019.

The France international centre-back has scored one goal and created one chance in 23 Premier League appearances for the Blues so far this season.

The former Saint-Etienne youngster has a pass accuracy of 80% and a shot accuracy of 15%, and has won 64 headers, four dribbles and 22 tackles.
