Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp continues to show his faith in young players, giving teenager Pedro Chirivella a start against West Ham in the FA Cup.
Chirivella is just 18-years-old and joined from La Liga side Valencia in 2013.
He featured for the entire 90 minutes and the first half of extra time, before being substituted for the experienced James Milner.
Former Liverpool defender Rob Jones congratulated him for his efforts, via his Twitter account.
Chirivella was composed in midfield alongside fellow youngster Kevin Stewart, who also stood out for his combative play, willing to get stuck in against Premier League level opposition.
The Spaniard will have found the experience invaluable, making his first competitive start for the club. He had featured in the last round of the FA Cup, and earlier this season in the Europa League, both times as a substitute.
He certainly made a positive impression with the club's support delighted to see a young player settling in so well in such a big game.
Here is a look at how Liverpool fans reacted to his display on Twitter...
Impressed with Chirivella tonight, he's done plenty of clever things. Very good at working angles (if that makes any sense). #LFC— Sam Drury (@SamDrury11) February 9, 2016
