Former Aston Villa boss John Gregory has taken to Twitter to praise Everton manager Roberto Martinez, claiming he could re-write history at Goodison Park.
The Toffees recently when through a tough run of form, which piled the pressure on manager Martinez, but the last three results have helped ease the criticism on him.
3-0 wins over Carlisle United in the FA Cup as well as Newcastle United and Stoke City in the Premier League have reversed Everton's fortunes, and they will be looking for another clean sheet when they host West Bromwich Albion this weekend.
Everton are still underachieving, and should be aiming for European football, and Martinez will certainly be disappointed after an underwhelming season last term.
Now though, former Premier League boss John Gregory, who managed Aston Villa and Derby County in the top flight, has taken to Twitter in order to praise the Spaniard.
Gregory stated that Everton have one of the best managers in the Premier League in Martinez, and even claimed that, with time to do the job, the former Wigan Athletic boss could re-write history at Goodison Park over the coming years.
Still just 42, Martinez has plenty of time to learn from his mistakes, and fans will be hoping to see a more consistent Everton side after a tough run of recent results.
