Hull City allowed Greg Luer to move to Scunthorpe United on loan.
Tom Huddlestone has sent an encouraging message to Hull City striker Greg Luer on social media site Twitter after the youngster completed a loan move to Scunthorpe United earlier today.
Luer has joined the Iron on an initial one-month loan, as the League One side look to increase their fire power.
And Huddlestone clearly thinks that the 21-year-old can be a success at Glanford Park, if he gets his head down and works hard in training.
Good luck Greg. Keep doing what you've been doing https://t.co/JgUPf0XPZJ— Tom Huddlestone (@Huddz8) February 9, 2016
Luer has scored frequently for Hull’s development squad, and he is regarded as one of the best talents in Steve Bruce’s team.
His chances of breaking into the Tigers’ first-team seem limited as things stand, however, with the likes of Abel Hernandez and Chuba Akpom both ahead of him in the section order.
Hull are challenging for promotion from the Championship, and Bruce has reservations over utilising Luer in his senior squad too regularly, with the pressure on.
As a result, Hull have allowed the youngster to leave on a temporary basis, to aid his development.
Luer has made six appearances for Hull this season, scoring twice.
