Does Danny Drinkwater deserve a chance to make the England squad?

The Leicester City midfielder has been in great form this season.

Leicester City are looking on course to pick up a shock Premier League title after a sensational 2015-16 season so far.

Much of that success has been inspired by striker Jamie Vardy. The former Fleetwood Town striker has revelled in the Claudio Ranieri playing style and his recent double v Liverpool took his tally for the season to 18 goals.

That form has seen him earn a place in the England squad and he looks likely to be on the plane to France in the summer.

But do any of Leicester's other English players deserve to be on that plane - namely, Danny Drinkwater?

The 25-year-old has international experience. He played for England up until under-19s as a youngster with Manchester United.

He has gone under the radar at Leicester at times this season but his excellence in the heart of midfield has not gone unnoticed.

England are blessed with options in the heart of midfield but if Roy Hodgson is going to pick players on form than there is no doubt that Drinkwater deserves a chance to make it into the England squad, with the upcoming internationals with Germany and the Netherlands next month the perfect opportunity to give him a try-out.
