Middlesbrough fans expressed their frustrations at the weekend when they failed to beat Blackburn Rovers.
Expectations are high at Boro, and there was an audible frustration around the ground - as Karanka’s side struggled to a point against Blackburn in their most recent outing.
Boro failed to get going in the match, and Karanka feels part of the reason for this is because of the atmosphere at his side’s home ground.
"I think so,” Karanka said when asked whether supporters' criticisms contributed to Middlesbrough failing to beat Blackburn.
“I heard some comments from the players in the dressing room afterwards but I am here to take that pressure. When they are confident, they show how good they are.”
Boro have raised their supporters’ demands because of their excellent form since the start of the campaign.
The North East side have been very difficult to beat, and they look to be amongst the favourites for promotion.
Middlesbrough also spent big in January, which only serves to increase the pressure on the team to make it over the line.
Boro have failed to win any of their last three league matches, but they could still move to the top of the Championship standings if they are able to beat Milton Keynes Dons later this evening.
