The Dutch midfielder is out of contract with Feyenoord at the end of this season, with the club having no plans to extend his deal. He has not been extensively used by head coach Gio van Bronckhorst, and he does not intend to stay at De Kuip.
Despite his lack of playing time with Feyenoord, Vilhena is extremely highly rated, and the 21-year-old is not short of suitors ahead of the summer.
He has been capped at youth level for the Netherlands at every age group, up to Under-21, and already has over 100 appearances to his name at club level.
He is an experienced, young talent, and Leicester are set to hold a meeting with Vilhena soon to hopefully tie up his signature ahead of the next season.
However, the Foxes are not the only team tracking him, with the youngster’s contract situation making him an extremely attractive signing.
The Mirror claim that Sunderland and West Brom are showing a series interest in Vilhena, whilst Swansea have also watched him at times this season.
European giants Juventus and Bayern Munich are also named as sending scouts to keep track of the youngster.
However, the Foxes are pushing ahead with talks, and hope to secure his signature ahead of Premier League rivals Sunderland and West Brom.
