According to a report in the Daily Star, Everton are interested in signing Wojciech Szczesny from Arsenal, and will lodge a bid at the end of the season.
Following the signing of Petr Cech, Szczesny seems to have deemed surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium.
The Polish international was sent out on loan to Roma this season, but Everton want to bring him to Goodison Park at the end of his stay in Italy.
Roberto Martinez is believed to be looking for a goalkeeper, following Tim Howard’s series of poor performances this term.
Howard has looked shaky behind Everton’s porous defence, and Martinez has had reservations about using Joel Robles regularly.
Szczesny has made 25 appearances for Roma this season, helping the Italian club into fifth spot in Serie A, but it is said that they will not try and make the switch a more long term one.
And Szczesny is believed to be hoping for a Premier League return, with Everton ready to grant his wish.
