Celtic won against East Kilbride in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon.

Celtic maintained their chances of winning the Scottish Cup this season with victory over East Kilbride on Sunday afternoon.

The Scottish Premiership giants got the better of the Lowland Football League outfit 2-0 at the Excelsior Stadium in Airdrie in the fifth round of the prestigious cup competition.

Leigh Griffiths put Celtic in the lead in the 21st minute, and Colin Kazim-Richards doubled the advantage five minutes into the second half.

Griffiths has been arguably the best player for the Bhoys this season, and he was once again crucial in the win.

The Scotland international striker scored his 28th goal of the season and was involved in the second against East Kilbride, his overhead kick prompting a scramble leading to Kazim-Richards finding the target from close range.

It was Kazim-Richards’s first goal for Celtic, having joined the Glasgow giants on transfer deadline day.

The Turkey international striker was delighted with his goal for the Bhoys, as the photos here show.
