Manchester City reportedly considering summer move for Mahmoud Dahoud

Manchester City have been linked with the German midfielder.

According to a report from German newspaper Bild, Manchester City are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud this summer.

The 20-year-old has a contract with the Bundesliga club until the summer of 2018, but it is being claimed that Pep Guardiola could make the player one of his first signings at the Etihad Stadium.

Dahoud has become a first-team regular at Monchengladbach this season, appearing 28 times and scoring two goals and providing five assists in the process.

Predominantly a central midfielder, the Germany under-20 international can also operate in a holding role or more advanced, and his versatility would come in very useful at City.

Guardiola will know him well from his time in charge of Bayern Munich while City came up against Dahoud both home and away in the Champions League group stage this season.

There will no doubt be a few changes in playing personnel at City next season and, according to Bild at least, Dahoud could be one of them.
