Liam Bridcutt already bookies' third-favourite to be named Leeds player of the season

The Sunderland loanee has been impressive since joining Leeds.

Sunderland loanee Liam Bridcutt is already third-favourite to win Leeds United's player of the season award, according to Sky Bet.

Indeed, the 26-year-old has been at Elland Road far less than plenty of his team-mates but has made enough of an impact to leapfrog several in the betting.

The overall favourite, of course, is Charlie Taylor, with Stuart Dallas second in the running.

But Bridcutt is priced ahead of the likes of Lewis Cook, Gaetano Berardi, Marco Silvestri, Alex Mowatt and more by Sky Bet.

Toumani Diagouraga has started brightly at Leeds and could be a contender for the award come the end of the season but Bridcutt is already one of the frontrunners.

The 26-year-old Sunderland man was once again impressive on Saturday afternoon but was let down by his team-mates against Nottingham Forest, with the visitors leaving Elland Road 1-0 winners.

Next up for Leeds is a Championship clash against Middlesbrough next Monday night.
