Leeds United and Rotherham United fans react on Twitter to Neil Redfearn's sacking

Elland Road Revie Stand

Leeds United supporters are disappointed to see Neil Redfearn sacked by Rotherham United.

Some Leeds United supporters have urged the club to bring Neil Redfearn back after he was sacked by Rotherham United on Monday afternoon.

Redfearn left Leeds last season, after guiding the side to a 15th place finish in the Championship, and he ended up joining the Millers.

However, he failed to move Rotherham clear of the relegation zone during his 21 matches at the New York Stadium, and quickly paid the price.

Leeds fans are now hoping that the 50-year-old could come back to Elland Road, but a return seems unlikely given the acrimonious nature of his departure from the club last summer.

Rotherham supporters have been left baffled by the news that Redfearn has been sacked, too.

Although the Millers are currently in the relegation zone, very few of their supporters appear to have actively wanted Redfearn to leave - at least judging by the reaction on social media site Twitter.

Redfearn leaves Rotherham with the side sitting in 22nd place in the Championship table - two points adrift of safety.
