Francis Jeffers mocks Liverpool after 2-2 draw with Sunderland

Former Everton striker could not resist poking fun at Liverpool.

Former Everton striker Francis Jeffers could not resist poking fun at his old club's Merseyside rivals Liverpool.

The Reds let a 2-0 lead slip at home to Sunderland on Saturday afternoon, but conceded two late goals as the game ended 2-2.

Sunderland's goals coincidentally came after a section of Liverpool's supporters had staged a walkout from Anfield in the 77th minute - to protest at rising ticket prices which will reach £77 for a home game.

This set Jeffers up for his dig, made moments after the final whistle...

The result was a vital away point for Sunderland in their battle against relegation, needing at least a draw, with rivals Newcastle winning.

Liverpool meanwhile slipped into ninth place, behind Jeffers' old side Everton on goal difference, who won 3-0 away to Stoke City.

Jurgen Klopp's side are now 12 points off the Champions League places, with Manchester City currently in fourth.
