Alex Pritchard says West Brom fans have not seen the best of him yet

West Brom - The Hawthorns

The Tottenham Hotspur youngster is currently on loan at West Bromwich Albion.

West Bromwich Albion’s on-loan midfielder Alex Pritchard has been speaking to the Birmingham Mail about his debut for the Baggies and his hopes for the future.

The 22-year-old arrived at The Hawthorns from Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window and he made his first appearance for Tony Pulis’s side as a substitute at the weekend.

Pritchard came on at half-time and quickly set about trying to make an impact against Newcastle United, but unfortunately he was unable to prevent his new team from losing 1-0.

It was always going to be hard for Pritchard to hit the ground running due to his lack of game-time recently.

After a successful loan spell at Championship side Brentford last season he was expected to get chances at Tottenham this time out.

However, a serious injury set him back and Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino made the sensible call to send him out on loan until May in order to get some much needed top flight experience.

Tottenham fans are well aware of Pritchard’s ability and in time he could prove to be a wonderful addition at West Brom.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, he said, “The lads have been good to me but people didn’t see my best on Saturday, even though it was good to make my debut for West Brom.”

Pritchard showed glimpses of his undeniable talent and both Baggies and Tottenham fans will be hoping he is true to his word in the months ahead.
