Evans said after the game, which ended in a 1-0 defeat for Leeds, that the 31-year-old worked hard.

“I don’t think Mirco had his best day today,” Evans told LUTV. “He has tried ever so hard. I can’t fault the commitment and effort of the team.”

Antenucci is not having a good season and is not guaranteed a place in the Leeds starting lineup.

The former Ternana striker has scored five goals and created 14 chances in 26 Championship appearances for the Whites so far this campaign.
