The talented teen scored twice against Germany today.
This afternoon saw a Sheffield Wednesday youngster with real pedigree make a splash on the international scene.
George Hirst made his debut for the England under-17s in Portugal today, as they took on Germany, and had a dream first appearance at this level for his nation.
He scored twice in the opening 25 minutes of the game to give his nation a 2-0 lead against the much-fancied Germans.
He netted in the 17th and 24th minute to rubber stamp his credentials as a future England star and potentially with Sheffield Wednesday as well.
The player has been hotly tipped at the club, in no small reason because of who his dad is.
George is the son of David Hirst. The Yorkshireman was with Wednesday from 1986 until 1997. He scored over 100 goals in his Sheffield Wednesday career in nearly 300 appearances for the club.
This was the perfect start to his international career and Wednesday fans will no doubt be hoping to see plenty more of George Hirst in the years to come.
Here is how the Wednesday fans reacted to the teenager's brace...
