Christian Eriksen is reportedly set to extend his Tottenham contract until 2021.
According to The Mirror, Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen is close to signing a new three-year contract extension with the club.
Eriksen, 23, arrived at White Hart Lane from Dutch giants Ajax in the summer of 2013, and is by far the biggest success to come out of Tottenham's spending spree with the Gareth Bale money.
The Danish international has racked up 25 goals and 21 assists for Tottenham since signing almost three years ago, and has established himself as one of the finest attacking midfielders in the Premier League.
Now, with Tottenham extending contracts left, right and centre - Dele Alli, Mousa Dembele and Joshua Onomah have all penned new deals recently - Eriksen appears to be next on the list, and an agreement appears to be close.
The Mirror report that Eriksen is on the verge of signing a three-year extension on his current deal, meaning he would be tied down at White Hart Lane until the summer of 2021.
Eriksen enjoyed a superb performance against Watford on Saturday, creating eight clear goalscoring chances for his team-mates as he pulled the strings in his favoured No. 10 role.
After seeing the likes of Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Carrick, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale all leave the club, fans will be pleased to see players like Eriksen extending their contracts, giving Spurs a team that can not only challenge for the title this season, but possibly beyond.
