Report: Daniel Sturridge could leave for £30m; Newcastle linked, West Ham's stance explained

Sturridge

The Liverpool striker has been linked to both Newcastle and West Ham according to varying reports.

Daniel Sturridge could leave Liverpool for £30 million, according to the Daily Star.

And the Star also suggest Newcastle United are planning a 'sensational swoop' for the Reds striker.

Indeed, it is suggested Jurgen Klopp would be happy to let go of Sturridge for the £30m figure. Newcastle, meanwhile, are in need of goals, with Aleksandar Mitrovic only netting five so far this season.

Any transfer would happen over the summer, when current loanee Seydou Doumbia might return to his parent club as he is only with the Magpies on loan.

However, the Sunday Mirror suggest West Ham United could be a potential destination for Liverpool striker Sturridge.

The Mirror believe the 26-year-old prefers a switch to London, leaving West Ham as more of a possibility than Newcastle.

But it is also stated that the Reds forward would only be handed a pay-per play deal by the Hammers (or something to that extent) due to David Gold and David Sullivan harbouring doubts about Sturridge's obvious fitness doubts.

Where will the striker be next season? Liverpool, Newcastle, West Ham or neither?
