Matt Phillips’s goal in the 88th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides in London.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon, hosts QPR had 46% of the possession, took 19 shots of which eight were on target, and earned five corners.
Visitors Ipswich had 54% of the possession, took 13 shots of which seven were on target, and earned six corners.
QPR are 13th in the Championship table at the moment with 39 points from 30 matches. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side are 11 points behind Sheffield Wednesday, who are currently sixth and occupy the final playoff spot.
