Nottingham Forest fans react on Twitter to Leeds boss' insulting comments

Steve Evans was not happy after Leeds United lost to Nottingham Forest.

Leeds United lost 1-0 at home to Nottingham Forest this weekend, and head coach Steve Evans was far from happy.

Speaking after the defeat, Evans was quoted by the Observer belittling Forest's playing style.

He said: "I’d rather go the dentist than watch Nottingham Forest every week."

Now Forest fans may readily admit their side is not always easy on the eye, but at the same time they have had to make do this season, with star players out injured, and hampered by a transfer embargo for the last three windows.

Dougie Freedman's side have performed admirably results-wise, and are 10th in the Championship. After the weekend Leeds United are down in 16th, six points behind.

Evans' comments had a lack of grace about them, but they were similar to words he had used to describe his own side's display against Bristol City a fortnight earlier, telling the Yorkshire Post: "The first half was like going to the dentist. It wasn’t pleasant and it was a long 45 minutes." Leeds went onto win that game 1-0.

There was no such win for Leeds this time, beaten by Nelson Oliveira's 60th minute strike, and Evans' words only will have given Forest a deeper sense of satisfaction at getting the win.

Here is a look at how supporters reacted on Twitter to his comments...
