Mignolet...? Liverpool fans slam Alberto Moreno on Twitter after Sunderland capitulation

The 23-year-old 'left-back' was again woeful for the Reds against the Black Cats.

There was plenty to talk about for Liverpool fans on Saturday afternoon. As usual, most of it wasn't positive.

Indeed, the planned supporter walk-out during the 77th minute of play was one thing - and that will continue to be discussed for some time, especially if FSG continue to ignore fans on the subject of ticket prices.

But, sticking to matters on the pitch, it was the same old from the struggling Reds squad.

Jurgen Klopp was absent through illness and he can count himself lucky. For the majority of the match, Liverpool controlled play against a poor Sunderland side and the fact they were 2-0 up was evidence enough they should have won this game easily.

After the walkout, however, Liverpool capitulated. And it was the usual suspects to blame. Simon Mignolet is the biggest example of a struggling player being given massive rewards for terrible form in the whole of the Premier League.

As bad as his goalkeeping was for Adam Johnson's free-kick, though, Alberto Moreno still deserved huge criticism for his role during the 2-2 draw with Sunderland.

All the Spaniard had to do was put away his chance earlier on - and not give away the free-kick Johnson ending up scoring. A classic Moreno moment of stupidity ultimately ended up swinging the momentum in Sunderland's favour.

Here's how Liverpool supporters reacted to his display on Twitter...
