Leeds United lost 1-0 at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Leeds United slipped to a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon, with Nelson Oliveira's second half goal winning the game.
The Portuguese striker swooped with a header - which Leeds believe to have been offside - and handed Dougie Freedman's men all three points.
Leeds manager Steve Evans was left disappointed at the full-time whistle, and many supporters simply felt that the Whites lacked the quality in the final third to get back into the game.
However, fans actually took to Twitter after the game to criticise the performance of defender Scott Wootton, who played the whole 90 minutes before being replaced in stoppage time by Tom Adeyemi.
The defender has been a mainstay of Evans' side since Gaetano Berardi's injury, and having worked under Evans at Rotherham United last season, it's no surprise that he's been playing so regularly with the Scot in charge at Elland Road.
Fans though think that Wootton needs to be replaced, and believed that he was one of Leeds' most disappointing players against Forest, with the player even being booed upon his substitution.
Some even feel that youngster Lewie Coyle should be starting at right back instead of Wootton, especially seeing as the former Manchester United man started out as a centre back, leaving fans to feel that doesn't offer enough going forward.
Here are some of the reactions from Leeds fans after Wootton's performance against Nottingham Forest on Saturday...
I will say I didn't agree with the booing of Wootton, he's no full back that's for sure. But they all looked out of shape today #lufc— Thom Lancaster (@TommyLanc) February 6, 2016
That was abysmal. Wootton is garbage , Coyle is either ready or not. Throw the kid in. Another game that proves we need a striker. #lufc— Tom Dockerty (@Tom_LUFC_MWD) February 6, 2016
Wootton's lack of footballing ability really really showed today, was the weak link all game #lufc— Fran Senior (@Fransenior93) February 6, 2016
How many bad games is Wootton going to have before giving Coyle a real chance— Luke (@luke83m) February 6, 2016
What did you think of Wootton's performance against Nottingham Forest?
