Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge on Sunday with both sides desperate to get three more points.
Chelsea need the victory as they attempt to climb back into the top half of the table while United cannot afford to fall further behind the top four in the race for a Champions League place next season.
Not long ago this match could easily have been a title decider, but things have changed with Chelsea struggling for much of the campaign and United failing to embrace the club’s attacking ethos under manager Louis van Gaal.
That said, Chelsea have a fine recent record against today’s opponents, unbeaten in their last nine meetings in all competitions.
Van Gaal has often inspired some of United’s best play when taking on the Blues but so far that has not led to a victory for his side…something he will be hoping to change this afternoon.
As for Chelsea, they are on a run of draws and would make it four in a row if they hold United later today.
