Benik Afobe says he was gutted to lose 2-0 to former club Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, taking to Twitter to pay tribute to Bournemouth's fans after the game.
However, the 22-year-old also had plenty to say about the Gunners faithful, as both Arsenal and Bournemouth fans offered the forward plenty of support.
Afobe was a popular youngster in north London but simply wanted game time and couldn't get any first-team opportunities at the Emirates Stadium.
He duly left for Wolves but is now getting his Premier League chance after Bournemouth signed him in January.
Afobe performed well against Arsenal on Sunday but was marked out of the game by some solid defending.
And he also paid tribute to Olivier Giroud on Twitter, thanking him for exchanging shirts and a few words of wisdom at full-time.
It was nice to see some old faces today. Thanks for the nice words and shirt after the game @_OlivierGiroud_. Top guy all the best!— Benik Afobé (@Afobe_) February 7, 2016
Next up for Arsenal is a must-win clash against Leicester City, while the Cherries host out-of-form Stoke City.
