The French midfielder impressed for Aston Villa this weekend.
Aston Villa secured a much-needed three points on Saturday when they overcame Norwich City 2-0 courtesy of goals from Joleon Lescott and Gabby Agbonlahor.
The victory means Remi Garde’s side are now eight points from safety with 13 games remaining, so to suggest a corner has been turned could still be an overstatement at this stage.
However, there is no doubt Villa can take great pride from their latest match and there is still time for Garde to complete an unlikely turnaround.
While the goal-scorers took the plaudits Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout also impressed.
The summer signing took time to settle at Villa Park but Garde has made him an integral part of his starting line-up, featuring 23 times to date and providing his fourth assist of the campaign against the Canaries.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Villa fans thought of Veretout’s performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
Veretout's passing yesterday was nice to watch & he looks confident with a few tricks coming in now. Gana broke up play well with Westwood— TW Villan (@Villafanblog) February 7, 2016
Been overlooked a bit, but what a ball by Veretout for our second. Perfectly weighted. This a few seconds after Gana keeps possession— Andy (@Der_Wanderfalke) February 7, 2016
Veretout a lot more affective playing wide left. Nearly got a nice assist for Bacuna to. Keep the 442 Remi— Harry Johnson (@avfc_johnson) February 6, 2016
