Ardiles and Graham Roberts react to Tottenham win, send strong messages to Watford

Tottenham Hotspur won against Watford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Osvaldo Ardiles has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Tottenham Hotspur’s win against Watford on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham continued their good run of form in the Premier League with a narrow 1-0 victory over Watford at home.

Kieran Trippier’s goal in the 64th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides at White Hart Lane in North London.

Former Tottenham midfielder Ardiles has taken to Twitter to revel in the triumph, while also criticising Watford for taking a defensive approach to the game.

Graham Roberts, who played for Spurs in the 1980s, has also claimed on Twitter that Watford wanted to defend at White Hart Lane.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon, hosts Tottenham had 66% of the possession, took 26 shots of which nine were on target, and earned 15 corners.

Visitors Watford had just 34% of the possession, took only three shots of which none was on target, and earned one corner.
