Steve Evans says much-praised Souleymane Doukara was very poor against Nottingham Forest

The Leeds head coach has been discussing the 24-year-old forward.

Leeds United head coach Steve Evans has slammed forward Souleymane Doukara for his role during Nottingham Forest's winner on Saturday afternoon, according to BBC Radio Leeds.

Forest left Elland Road with a 1-0 win on Saturday, netting a second-half winner that Evans took issue with for being offside.

But he was more concerned with Doukara's role in Forest's winning goal. Indeed, the 24-year-old only needed to run '10 yards,' according to Evans, but was 'very poor' as he was caught out by a Nottingham Forest runner.

The Scot told the BBC: "Big Souley's taken a lot of praise in recent weeks but all he has to do is run 10 yards and the other guys' run in from 25 yards behind him. That was very poor."

Next up for Leeds is another home clash, this time around against Middlesbrough, before they travel to Watford in the FA Cup.

The 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest will no doubt disappoint United supporters - and Evans clearly isn't impressed.

Forest are on an unbeaten run, though, and there is always time to bounce back for the Scot and his players.
