The Scottish attacker has a severe throat infection.
Celtic have been struggling for form in recent weeks. The Bhoys had already been dumped out of Europe this season and have now lost two big games on the bounce.
Celtic were knocked out of the Scottish League Cup by Ross County and then title challengers Aberdeen defeated them at Pittodrie on Wednesday.
Missing for both those games was Scottish attacker Kris Commons. The 32-year-old, who has scored nine goals for Celtic this season, has not played since finding the back of the net against Dundee United on the 15th January.
His absence has not helped the Celtic cause but he has sent an Instagram this weekend to highlight just why he is absent.
He sent this picture showing just why he is out of action and be warned, for those of a squeamish disposition, you might not want to scroll down...
Commons will hopefully be back in action soon as Celtic look to recover from their recent blip.
Tomorrow they take on East Kilbride in the Scottish Cup - a fixture they dare not lose.
Commons will not play in the game and will hope that Celtic can pick up the win in his absence.
